ASSAM HEIGHTS PUBLIC SCHOOL has a STATE OF ART SWIMMING POOL (25 meters X 12 meters) i.e. half the size of OLYMPIC SWIMMING POOL for THE PROFESSION TRAINING and COMPETITIONS with, total constructed area of about 8000 sqft dedicated only for the swimming pool, fitted with best quality tiles and filtration system found around the world.

There are plenty of reasons why going for a dip is a great idea. It is estimated that those who swim for recreation or competition are eight times more likely to meet general physical activity guidelines. Swimming is full-body workout that requires you to move your entire body against the resistance of the water. Because of this full-body resistance, swimming elevates your heart rate, which aids in building endurance, muscle strength and cardiovascular fitness. Besides, swimming improves coordination, balance and posture; improves flexibility; provides low-impact movement; it is a great activity for cross-training, helps building capacity and strength “It’s like lifting weights with your respiratory system!”, alters your muscle fibers, moreover, swimming lowers stress and enhances mood.
